Entrepreneurship holds the potential for strengthening social inclusion by offering another option for earning income and contributing to society. This potential will not be realized until everyone has an opportunity to start a business, as well as to be successful in self-employment. Still, this is not yet possible for many population groups such as NEET(Youth not in employment, education or training), socially excluded youth, women, immigrants, etc.

Those groups are under-represented in business creation and self-employment. Especially when the young people create a business are they facing with low survival rates.

Inclusive entrepreneurship policies typically target groups that are under-represented in, or face greater barriers to, business creation, i.e. women, youth, the unemployed, seniors, and migrants.

Addressing these barriers with initiatives such as entrepreneurship training, coaching and mentoring, microfinance would be expected to lead to an increase in business creation by these groups. It would also improve the quality of the start-ups so that they are more sustainable and innovative. (Source: https://www.oecd.org/)

Erasmus+ program and its activities play an important role in supporting inclusive entrepreneurship, especially when it comes to proper entrepreneurship training, coaching, and mentoring. Providing this to socially excluded or NEET youth could be a shift point for them in establishing their own business and using entrepreneurship as a tool for inclusion.
